Sign in with your Microsoft account to access Xbox Live achievements directly. No third-party API keys needed.
Get yours from retroachievements.org/controlpanel.php. Usernames can change, so the overlay stores your ULID after connect.
Off uses any unlock (softcore or hardcore). Hardcore also counts as a casual unlock on RetroAchievements.
When on, the overlay switches to whatever game RetroAchievements reports as last played. Off by default.
Steam, Xbox, and RetroAchievements fill from the bottom. GOG fills clockwise around the O from the top.

Plays on the number for PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, GOG, and RetroAchievements whenever the count changes. Cartoon Pop caves in slightly, then bounces out.
How often to check for new Steam achievements
How often to check Xbox Live for new achievements. Default 10s. Microsoft allows 300 achievement requests per 5 minutes per user; 10s is ~30 requests in that window.
How often to verify trophy count with PSN. Detector on: 30s recommended (events handle instant updates). Detector off: 3–10s.
How often to check for new GOG achievements. Default 10s. GOG has no published cap; 5–10s is a safe range.
How often to check for new RetroAchievements unlocks. Default 10s. Stay at 5s or slower.
